Constance, residing in Herrin, Ill., passed away on July 3, 2023, after an intense battle with cancer. Constance leaves a strong legacy of love for her Lord and Savior, her family, and friends. Constance was 77 years old.
Constance is survived by her five brothers: Frank and wife Wanda, of Ammannsville; Harvey and wife Carol of Tomball; John and wife Billie of Katy; Richard and wife Sherri of Richmond; Chris Cernosek and wife Jennifer of Kingsville; and her sister, Mary Nordlof living in Sweden. Constance was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Vlasta Cernosek of La Grange.
Constance was born on Jan. 27, 1946 at home in Ammannsville. In 1964, Constance graduated from Bishop Forrest High School, Schulenburg. In 1968, she graduated from U of T Galveston with a BSN/RN degree. In 1975, Constance graduated from UTH’s DPN, Nurse Anesthesia Program.
In high school, Constance worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Youen’s Memorial Hospital, Weimar. Constance began her professional career as an operating room nurse for the world’s leading cardiovascular surgeons, such as De-Bakey, Noon, Crawford and others. In 1976, as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Constance upgraded her career to provide anesthesia to patients undergoing major life-threatening operations. In 1993, Constance initiated and personally developed a process/procedure called the CERNOSEK ARM, patented under the name CERNOSEKMEDICAL- CORPORTION.
It’s objective was to simplify how the anesthesiologist transferred a patient from the operating room to the recovery room.
Constance enjoyed international travel, concerts, and excelled in modeling and competitive ballroom dancing. Constance lived life to its fullest. Yet she acknowledges openly that her life only began once she met, received and openly proclaimed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. It is those of us left behind who miss our beloved sister, family member and friend who have hopes of spending all eternity together.
Constance had a deep love for Israel and actively supported many organizations honoring the land of Zion. Memorial donations may be made to: Christian United for Israel (CUFI), P.O. Box 659240, San Antonio, TX 78265-9929.
