Brugger
Loretta Mary (Ermis) Brugger, 82, of La Grange passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at MD Anderson in Houston.
Loretta was born in La Grange on July 11, 1940, the daughter of Ignac and Annie (Vaclavik) Ermis.
Loretta loved her dog Chloe, and everyone would always hear about Chloe’s day. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved to make Christmas cookies and sweets for her grandchildren at Christmas time. She was also very involved in her Church. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Annunciation No. 1962 for 48 years, having joined in March of 1975; active member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society; active member of the K.J.Z.T Society No. 31 in La Grange, having joined in 1943; active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 102, in La Grange, immediate past President and served over 30 years; active member of the VFW Auxiliary No. 5254 in La Grange since 1997. She has also served on the Altar Society Committee and the Homebound Visitation Committee.
She is survived by her children: Pam (Wade) Read, Wayne (Lisa) Brugger of La Grange, and Teresa (Joey) Blaschke of Woodsboro; eleven grandchildren: Chris (Haylee) Read, Libby (Jeff) Carpenter, Derik (Becki) Brugger, Matthew Brugger, Miranda (Keaton) Wright, Blake Hopson, Victoria (Brehnen) Mitchell, Maddie Hopson, Justin Kinslow, Rachael Blaschke and Reagan Blaschke; four great grandchildren, Finn Brugger, Davy Jane Carpenter, Grace Wright and Draeklyn Mitchell; sisters, Lillian Machala, Agnes Weikel and brother, Basil Ermis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gene Brugger; grandson, Jonathan Read; sisters: Sister Pauline Marie, Evelyn Pryzborski, Ann Bettis; brothers: Ignac (Phil) Ermis, Jr and Sylvester Ermis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home in La Grange. Family received friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A Holy Rosary was recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange, at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023. Burial will follow at the La Grange City Cemetery in La Grange.
