Brau Billie Bell Brau passed away peacefully on Nov. 5, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on July 19, 1933, in Rockwall. Billie’s journey through life was marked by her analytical mind and the joy she found in simple pleasures, like tending to her garden.

Billie’s love for yard work was evident in the vibrant flowers and meticulously kept lawns that surrounded her home. Her garden was not just a hobby but a testament to her patience and attention to detail, traits that she applied to every aspect of her life.

She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Vernon Brau, and her dearly missed daughter, Rebecca Mayer.

Billie’s legacy lives on through her son-in-law, Clayton Mayer, her grandson, John, and his family Kelsey, Maddyn, and Miller Mayer, who will continue to cherish her memory and the countless lessons she imparted.

As we bid farewell to Billie Bell Brau, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, dedication, and selflessness. Her spirit will remain with us, inspiring us to live with the same grace and compassion that she demonstrated every day.

A graveside service was held on Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Florida Chapel Cemetery in Round Top.
