Helen Agnes (Novak) Boyd passed away on March 3, 2025, in Athens, Texas. She was born on Jan. 11, 1948, in Robstown, Texas.

Helen grew up in Robstown, cherishing her childhood memories and the strong foundation of faith instilled by her parents. Her Catholic faith remained a guiding force throughout her life.

She dedicated many years to serving the community of La Grange through her work at Fayette Memorial Hospital and later at St. Mark’s Medical Center. Helen found great joy in supporting her sons in their athletic pursuits and later took immense pride in watching her grandchildren participate in football, baseball, and soccer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lillian Novak; her brother, Leroy Novak and his wife Connie; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Trujillo (Fred).

She is survived by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Boyd; her sons, Benjamin “Ben” (Jan) and Franklin “Frank” (Erika); her grandchildren, Brandon (Candice), Tony (Jack), Joanna, Henry, and Grace; and her great-grandchildren, Hadley and Sadie. She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Bonorden, along with extended family members.

Helen will be laid to rest at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Flatonia on March 13, 2025 at 11 a.m. A reception for family and friends will follow the burial service.

Her kindness, faith, and devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed.
