Funeral services for David Lee Bordovsky, 67 of Paige, are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023 at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Giddings with Father Miguel Duarte officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pin Oak.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. The family was present for visitation Thursday afternoon from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and a Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.

David Lee Bordovsky was born April 30, 1955 in La Grange one of eight children born to John L. Bordovsky and Martha (Weber) Bordovsky. He married Mary Ann Steinbach from Paige on May 3, 1975 in Pin Oak. David and Mary Ann Bordovsky have resided in Paige since 1980. David was a member of Giddings Knights of Columbus for 40 years and obtained his 4th degree level. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Giddings. He loved to fry fish and help barbecue chicken for the Knights of Columbus monthly barbecues. He loved to fish, hunt, play pool, plant a garden, and play straight dominoes. David coached the boys Little League in Lee County and the minor league all-stars. He enjoyed coaching and umpiring baseball and softball and received a recognition plaque for his umpiring and coaching. David was also the manager of the Paige community hard ball team. He worked most of his life in road construction for Dean and Keng Paving and retired from Travis County.

David passed away the morning of Sunday, March 19, 2023 in his home in the care of Hospice Brazos Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Martha Bordovsky; his daughter, Brittany Lee Ann Bordovsky, and his sister-in-law, Alice Albrecht.

David is survived by wife, Mary Ann Bordovsky of Paige; daughter, Janet Lee Ann Bordovsky Crain of Paige; siblings, Betty and husband Tim Petras of Gonzales, Robert Hardey of La Grange, Georgie and husband Gary Riley of Leander, Jolynn (Joyce) and husband David Burger of Georgetown, John Henery of Georgetown, Wayne and wife Karen Bordovsky of Kerville, and Nancy and husband Tommy Anderson of La Grange; grandchildren, Mallory and husband Ty Robbins and Delaney Ender; great grandchildren, Joe Robbins, Lydia F Robbins, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Ty Robbins, Josh Anderson, Tommy Anderson, Johnathon Grimm, Clinton Petras, and Shawn Schubert.

Memorials may be made to a cancer society of one’s choice, Hospice Brazos Valley, or the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home Giddings.
