Funeral services for Eleanor Berger, 90 of Paige, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Eleanor Lorine (Zoch) Berger was born on Aug. 23, 1934 in Winchester, the daughter of Willie and Amanda (Mitschke) Zoch. Eleanor was united in marriage to Marvin Berger on June 26, 1955 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin by Rev. Arthur Arndt. Their marriage was blessed with three daughters.

Eleanor passed away the morning of Monday, May 5, 2025 at St. David’s SouthAustin Medical Center in Austin.

Eleanor is survived by three daughters, Kathrine Berger Beeman of Paige, Sharon Berger Mikeska of Navasota, and Debra Berger Drushel of Katy; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Madelyn Faske of Giddings; sister-in-law, Golda Berger of Giddings, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
