Reynaldo Barrientos Guerra, 46, of Columbus, passed
Okruhlik Bernard John Okruhlik, 85, of Spring passed away on Nov. 20, 2024. Bernard was better known as Benny to all the people who knew him well. Benny was born on April 5, 1939 in Praha to John and Mary Okruhlik. He married Earline Kaase on Sept. 18, 1965 and they had two children, Brian and Bruce.
Benny graduated from Flatonia High School and moved to Houston where he became an accountant for Getty Oil. He worked at Getty Oil and continued even after Getty was merged with Texaco. He was an active sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a youth bsaeball coach for his boys as they were growing up. He was President of the Kelin Oak Future Farmers of America High School Booster Club. He was a member of Klein Oak High School Football Booster club. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2917 where he served for over 50 years in roles from Grand Knight to Bingo Chairman and the fourth degree. He was a founding member of the City Polka Boys and then Texas Sound Czech. He loved playing Polka music over the past 50 plus years playing the accordion masterfully in the band.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Okruhlik, brother, Ernest Okruhlik, and sister, Lillie Mae Machicek.
Bernard is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Earline, their sons - Brian and Bruce, Brian’s wife Gale, Brian’s children - Emma, John, Kyle, and Jack, Bruce’s wife Christine, Bruce’s children - Madelyn and Mason, sister- in-law, Earline Okruhlik, sister-in-law, Nancy Kaase, sister-in-law, Delores Tobola and her husband Edward, and many cousins, nieces, and newphews.
His grandsons and newphews served as pallbearers and current members of the Texas Sound Czech band served as Honorary Pallbearers.
Bernard was laid to rest in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery net to his brother Ernest.

Reynaldo was born in Reynosa, Tamaulipas Mexico on Nov. 19, 1978, the son of Reynaldo Barrientos Pena and Adamina Graciela (Guerra) Mancias.
He worked as a Gravel Pit Operator for Ellinger Sand and Gravel in Fayetteville, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Beatriz Adriana Medrano; four children: Devin Barrientos, David Barrientos, Damian Barrientos, and Dayleen Barrientos; parents: Reynaldo Barrientos Pena and Adamina Garciela (Guerra) Mancias; sister, Rocio Barrientos and brother, Mario Alonso Barrientos.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025.
