Dianne Marie Allen passed away peacefully with her husband and many family members by her side at home in Richmond, on Oct. 24, 2022.

She was born in Armour, S.D. on July 25, 1944, to Joseph Forrest and Alberta Wallace. She married Michael Allen on Feb. 17, 1962, in Sioux Falls, S.D., raising four children; son, Patrick and daughters, Kellie, Stacey and Theresa. Dianne was an amazing wife, mother, and “nana.” She enjoyed twenty-five “retirement years” living in the country in Fayetteville. She was a passionately hard worker, operating a successful housekeeping business. She loved family gatherings, singing, slot machines, entertaining and housekeeping. Dianne treasured making friends and attending and supporting charitable events in the country. Dianne touched many lives through the years with her sense of humor and amazing personality. Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Michael Joseph Allen; son, Patrick Allen and wife, Amy; daughters, Kellie Schneider and husband, Eric, Stacey Aguirre and husband, Robert and Theresa Ruesch; brother, Michael Forrest; grandchildren, Michael Migl (Sarah), Morgan Bryer (Clint), Matthew Ruesch, Jordan Aguirre, Jillian Aguirre, Jackson Allen, Shay Allen, and Romy Schneider; great-grandchildren River Migl, Gemma Migl, Harrison Bryer, and Gavin Bryer, along with her loving inlaws, nieces and nephews.

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Forrest, and Alberta Wallace (Tom).

Visitation and Rosary will be held Monday, Oct. 31, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange and will Lie in State on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held on Nov. 2, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land. Officiating the service will be: brother- in-law, Father James Allen, OMI, and Deacon Don Burns. Reception to follow in the Church Hall from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 3100 Sweetwater Boulevard, Sugar Land.

The family would like to recognize Juana Soto, who has lovingly and patiently helped us care for Mom the last two years. We are eternally grateful for your dedication to her care.
