Numerous Fayette County 4-H members competed in the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Food Challenge Contest on Thursday, Feb. 10.

On Feb. 5, 188 child care providers from more than 17 surrounding cities registered to attend the Multi-County Child Care Conference sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. The event was held at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange, and was hosted by Austin, Fayette, and Washington Counties.

“Will you help me with my English?”, the 13-year-old Mexican youth asked. And, of course, I quickly said ‘sure.’ Now I know better than to help anyone with anything, especially a child needing assistance with language.
