From July 15-17, 1868, in the small town of Millican, up to 300 Black Americans were driven away or killed in what some scholars consider the worst incident of racial violence in Texas during Reconstruction. Please Join Winedale for an in-person discussion with historian and author Thomas Stevens on Tuesday, March 21 at noon. Autism Awareness Month Proclaimed
Fayette County Commissioners Court signed a proclamation at their meeting on March 9 designating the month of April as Autism Awareness Month in Fayette County. On hand for the signing was Destiny Psencik of the Turtle Wing Foundation, an organization aimed at connecting families who have children with learning challenges with the services and support they need to be successful.
