AARP Community Challenge Grant Program Now Through March 5

AARP Texas invites local eligible organizations and governments across the country to apply for the 2025 AARP Community Challenge grant program, now through March 5 at 4 p.m. Central. Grants fund quick-action projects that help communities become more livable in the long-term by improving public spaces, transportation, housing, civic engagement, diversity and inclusion, and more.

The Year of Margo

Back in December 1981 I proclaimed that the new year, 1982, would be The Year of Margo. I turned 40 in March 1982, and it seemed like a fun thing to claim a year for myself.
