La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 2-9.

4-H Competes in Brazoria County

Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Brazoria County Livestock Judging Contest on Saturday, Oct. 22. The Fayette County 4-H Junior team placed 1st overall. Team members consisted of Adalyn Carrales, Tate Fritsch, Brylee Brugger, and Hayleigh Pizzitola. Individually, Adalyn was high point, Tate was 3rd, Brylee was 5th, and Hayleigh was 8th. The Fayette County 4-H Intermediate team placed 2nd overall. Team members consisted of Julia Melton, Tatum Fritsch, Laramie Laake, and Sawyer Mau. Individually Julia was 9th and Tatum was 10th. 4-H Competes in Brazos Valley Livestock Judging

Fayette County 4-H members competed in the Brazos Valley Livestock Judging Contest on Friday, Oct. 21 in Bryan. The Fayette County 4-H Green Junior team placed 4th overall. Team members consisted of Abraham McBride, Kaisley Janecka, Rheagan Karisch, and Kullen Kutac. Individually, Abraham was 3rd. The Fayette County 4-H Blue Junior team placed 7th overall. Team members consisted of Addison Berckenhoff, Alexis Berckenhoff, Crockett Guenther, and Laramie Laake. The Fayette County 4-H Gold Junior team placed 21st overall. Team members consisted of Paige Carruthers, Julia Melton, Adalyn Carrales, and Quinn Arnett. The Fayette County 4-H Maroon Junior team placed 28th overall. Team members consisted of Rilan Karisch, Kinley Kutac, Meredith Carruthers, and Paycen Beck. The Livestock Judging Team is coached by JoJo and Kaci Carrales. Bluebonnet Electric Offices Closed On Veterans Day

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative’s offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Bluebonnet members can access their account information and make payments while the offices are closed through the co-op’s website at bluebonnet.coop.

CASA of Bastrop Appoints Advocates

CASA of Bastrop, Fayette and Lee Counties is pleased to announce the recent appointment of (pictured from left) Michelle Lockhart, Carole Richards, Sharlene Brown, Paula Luther, and Chris Contreras as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) by Judge Benton Eskew on Nov. 1. Paula Luther and Chris Contreras reside in Fayette County. CASA of Bastrop, Fayette & Lee Counties endeavors to provide trained volunteer advocates in all abuse and neglect foster care cases assigned by the courts. CASA Volunteers are screened and highly trained and then appointed by Judges to represent and advocate for a child’s best interest in the child protection system.
