Worship Assistants Needed at Shared Lutheran Ministry

Shared Lutheran Ministry Worship assistants are needed for 2023. If you would like to assist the pastor, read, usher or greet during a Sunday worship, please contact a member of council.

In addition to in person worship, SLM still has worship services recorded for Facebook, YouTube and on the radio.

Interim Pastor Jill will lead a First Communion class for those interested on Saturday, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11 from 9-11 a.m. Location to be determined. Contact the church office if interested.

Fayetteville Brethren Church Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.

Chamber of Commerce The Chicken Noodle Soup Lunch and Bake Sale has been scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 29.

Thinking about renting the chamber hall? New bookings for a 2023 event will be eligible for a discount up to 23% (towards the standard rate only) Deposit must be paid in full by 1/23/2023. You can find the rental agreement and availability calendar on the website http://www.ellingertexas.com.

Central Texas Food Bank Central Texas Food Bank will be at the Waldek Lutheran Church located at the junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145 on Saturday, Jan. 21 from 10-11 a.m. Food distribution will be a walkup method. Volunteers will distribute the food from tables as the clients walk through the line making their selections. Every client needs to bring their own sturdy reusable bags and boxes. A few wagons will be furnished by CTFB, but if the client has their own wagon, please bring it.

The Waldeck Food Truck is on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10-11 a.m. Year 2023 dates are Feb. 18, March 18, April 15, May 20, June 17, July 15, Aug. 19, Sept. 16, Oct. 21, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16.

Fayette County Recycle Trailer The Fayette County Recycle Trailer will be in Ellinger the last Wednesday of every month from 1-3 p.m. at the chamber hall. Bring your glass, newspaper, cardboard, etc. to be recycled.

Ellinger Sewer & Water

ESW will hold the annual meeting at the Ellinger Chamber Hall at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.

Hermann Sons

Summer camp enrollment will start in March. This summer camp in Comfort is open to junior members of Hermann Sons. Also, the camp is needing RNs, LPNs, EMTs, and CNAs. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Ian Brassett at (909) 362-9058. Medical staff is a paid position and includes paid camp tuition for their children.
