The AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange will be closed Monday for Labor Day and will return to normal operations serving product on Monday, Sept. 14.
Community Prayer
Everyone is invited to the monthly Community Prayer Gathering, an area wide multichurch sponsored event, meeting the first Sunday of each month at Redimidos Por Cristo Church is located across the street from Tejas Healthcare at 131 S. Garbage Schedule

Senior Game Day
The La Grange Senior Citizen Activity Center Inc. will host game day on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the City of La Grange Randolph Recreation Center. Game day will be held the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Any questions, call Liz Tannler (281) 5431976 .
Beekeepers Association Meeting
The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will hold its next meeting on Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange at 255 Svoboda Ln. The evening begins with Beekeeping 101 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. a session ideal for beginners or anyone interested in getting started with honey bees. At 5:30 p.m. members and guests will enjoy a potluck dinner, please bring a favorite entrée, side, or dessert to share. Following dinner, the club will conduct its regular business meeting before welcoming this month’s guest speaker, Becky Barajas, Becky has been an avid beekeeper for more than 12 years and is a passionate advocate for beekeeping education. She has served in numerous roles within the beekeeping community and regularly shares her knowledge with bee clubs throughout Central Texas. Annual membership is $25 per individual or family, and guests are always welcome. FaycoBeeks meets on the first Saturday of each month (except July). Panel Discussion at Church
La Grange Church of Christ will host a panel discussion with Mayor Jan Dockery and City Council members Derek Smith and Bryan Kerr on “What Christians Can Do for Their City.” The panel will address questions on faith and service and give practical ways Christians can get involved to help their local community. Coffee and donuts will be provided. The discussion will take place on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 9 a.m. at La Grange Church of Christ, 646 E. State Hwy. 71, La Grange.
Wildlife Management Co-op Fall Meeting
The North Central Fayette County Wildlife Management Coop annual fall meeting will be held at the Round Top Rifle Association Hall, 710 FM 1457, Round Top, on Saturday, Sept. 12. Social starts at 4 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 5 p.m. A meal will be served after meeting at 6-6:30 p.m. Scheduled speakers include: Holli Hale with an update on screw worms in Texas; Shaun Bayless and Drake Rangel with general wildlife updates in Fayette County; and Reilly Ruggiero of Texas A&M Forest Service with an educative program. Members are asked to bring a dessert. There will be door prizes, bucket raffle and a gun raffle.

KC Fish Fry Scholarship Fundraiser The La Grange Knights of Columbus Chromcik Council #2574 Memorial Scholarship Fish Fry fundraiser will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16 at the KC Community Center from 5-7 p.m. Dine in or drive-thru. Grief Group Being Offered
Hospice Brazos Valley is offering a new grief group for anyone who is grieving. This can be for any human grief, i.e. parent, grandparent, sibling, best friend, and the ones that HBV already offers, spouse, child. This support group will meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:30-noon at the Hospice Brazos Valley office, 1048 N Jefferson, La Grange.
