Work Begins on Old La Grange Bridge

Contractors for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began restoration of the old steel truss bridge across the Colorado River on Travis St. in La Grange last week. Pictured above is the temporary scaffolding on the bridge. TxDOT estimates the work will take about 10 months. Once complete, the old truss bridge will carry westbound traffic and the new bridge will carry eastbound traffic.
