Weimar Library Hosting Hunter Education Class

With the opening of deer season right around the corner, Friends of the Weimar Public Library will offer a second Hunter Safety Certification Class for those who were unable to attend the course in July. The course is scheduled this year in two night time sessions. The sessions will be offered on Oct. 16 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Oct. 17 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Weimar Junior High cafeteria. Pizza will be served to students.

Any person born after Sept. 2, 1971 requires this certification card to hunt in Texas. To enroll you must register by accessing the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department website: https://tpwd.elementlms. com/course/hunter-educationclassroom- course-9342/.

Hunters aged 9 and up can obtain their hunter safety certification card after completion of the official online or classroom course through a certified instructor. The course will be limited to 35 participants and will require a fee of $15 per person payable at the door by cash or check made out to Lee Mueller. Sign in for the class will be at 4:15 p.m.
