Volunteers Recognized at Friends Meeting
On June 16, Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites recognized the contributions of volunteers during the Friends Group’s Annual meeting. Between June 2021 and May 2022, volunteers donated more than 2,300 hours of service through special events, interpretive programs, community outreach, historical research, landscaping, and more. “Over the last year, we’ve been proud to welcome folks to exciting events and programs at our beautiful historic sites,” says Assistant Sites Manager Gavin Miculka. “However, none of it would be possible without the contributions of our dedicated volunteers.” Volunteers who worked multiple events and programs received a commemorative glass stein. Site managers are always looking to expand the volunteer team. Anybody interested in volunteering at Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites should contact Gavin Miculka at gavin.miculka@thc.texas.gov or (979) 968-5658.
