Volunteers Needed for Preschool Storytime
The Round Top Family Library hosts a pre-school story time Wednesday mornings at 10:15-11 a.m. They are currently looking for volunteers to read a story and create a small art activity and music activity. If interested, please email Sheila Bain at sheilabain@ hotmail.com.
Local Events
The monthly summer popup at Cisco Village located at 1350 N Hwy 237 in Round Top is this Friday through-Sunday. Come support local vendors, pick up your drink at the Crown Bar and take a stroll around the venue. The “Feel Good Marketplace” will be back again Aug. 17-20, and Sept. 21-24.
The Spazmatics are coming to the Round Top Dance Hall on Thursday, Oct. 19. If you have never had the pleasure of seeing this band, now is the time. You are guaranteed to have an awesome time with this high-energy 80s tribute band. Tickets are now on sale via the Stone Cellar’s website.
Busted Oak Cellars has Steve Bowman on July 21 from 6-9 p.m., and Darrell Appelt on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. The Round Top Brewery and Stone Cellar also has live music Friday through Sunday.
Those of you who are big in the western-wear scene, hold on to your hats. Kemo Sabe is making it’s way to Henkel Square just in time for the Fall Antique show. The brand has a “Grit” line which features several handmade different western staples like hats, cowboy boots, and buckles. The company has several other locations in Aspen, Vail, Las Vegas, Jackson Hole, and Park City.
Round Top Rifle Hall
Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second and third Mondays each month starting at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.

Town of Round Top
The Round Top Town Council meetings are held the second Monday of the month at the Town Hall located at 100 Main Street unless otherwise posted. Citizens are encouraged and welcome to attend. Agendas are posted on the website at www.townofroundtop. org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting time.

Here’s a look at the free programs for the month of July: Yoga in the library Mondays at 5 p.m. and Wednesdays at 9 a.m., Chess Club meets Wednesdays at 1 p.m., and Preschool story time is Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m.
An adult painting class is July 29 at 10 a.m. – this is a free class but registration is required. On July 27 at 2:30 p.m. come enjoy an All Together Dance Party. DJ Kountry Chick will provide some fun music, and snacks and drinks will be served. Drop off your kids at 2:30 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall and pick them up at 5 p.m. The next family game day is set for Aug. 12.

The next meeting for the Round Top Hermann Sons Life Lodge 151 will be July 27.
Round Top-Carmine ISD Elementary school supply lists are online at the school’s website. Developmental screening for preschool-age children is Aug. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Elementary grades will have Meet the Teacher on Aug. 19 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
The annual Back to School Welcome Walk will be Aug. 14 in the High School Cafeteria. Incoming seventhgraders and new students meet from 5-6 p.m. Returning eight through twelfth graders have schedule pickup and meet-theteacher from 5:30-6 p.m.
The first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 16. Aug. 25 is the first early release of the school year at 12:30 p.m.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. Pastor John David leads adult Bible study the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee and Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.
