Victim in Ledbetter Homicide Identified

Lee County Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger identified the victim of the homicide that took place north of Ledbetter earlier this month.

Carlos Ramone Greene, 36, was found shot to death at property in the 1100 block of County Road 123, located between Ledbetter and Dime Box. Greene’s driver’s license listed a College Station address as his home. Durrenberger said Greene was known to frequent the location where his body was found.

Durrenberger said investigators with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers are working to identify the suspect or suspects responsible for Greene’s death.
