Two Arrested for Possession of THC Vape Pens by La Grange Police

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports that on Tuesday, July 11, La Grange Police Officer Mitchell Maxwell conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 Chevrolet Camaro in the 900 block of East Eblin Street.

Officer Maxwell conducted a probable cause search on the vehicle and located a large amount of THC Vape pens.

Arrested was 19-year-old Victor Soto and 19-year-old Christopher Contreras, both of La Grange. They were transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for Possession of a Controlled Substance. The THC Vape pens have an estimated street value of $2,300.

Gilbreath also reports that on Friday, July 7 La Grange Police Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to the La Grange Chevron about a stolen vehicle. The investigation revealed that a 2006 Ford F-250 was stolen from the parking lot during the night hours. The vehicle was locked and the keys were removed from the ignition switch. On Saturday, July 8 Fayette Co. Deputy Charles Jobb was notified that the stolen vehicle was abandoned on FM 2436 near Hostyn. Sgt. Jobb reported that the unknown actor broke the door handle on the vehicle to gain access and then busted the steering column out to start the vehicle.
