Turtle Wing Serves Those In Need

Turtle Wing Foundation’s mission is “helping individuals with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential by providing access to a shared network of emotional, educational, and therapeutic resources.”

So far this fiscal year, which runs Sept. 1, 2021 to Aug. 31, 2022, Turtle Wing has partially or fully funded over 2,000 sessions of therapy, including speech, physical, occupational, and Applied Behavior Analysis for families who need the assistance. They have also assisted in underwriting dayhab programs and tuition, tutoring, social skills classes, and many other programs for our families in thecommunity. They are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the goal of helping individuals “grow wings and fly”. The foundation serves as a resource hub that connects families who have children and adults with learning challenges with the abundance of services available in the tri-county area (Fayette, Lavaca, and Colorado). Turtle Wing partners with providers in the community that bring services such as therapy, tutoring, social skills, and so much more, while also assisting in the funding of those services for families in need. When a family becomes part of the Parent Support Network, they become part of the Turtle Wing family and will always have a support system behind them.
