Travel Trailer Burns

La Grange Volunteer Fire Department extinguished a small blaze on Trinity School Rd. Thursday afternoon, March 7.

Fire Chief Frank Menefee said the call came in around 1:57 p.m. A worker on the property was demolishing an old travel trailer and burning debris in a pit nearby. The fire spread out of the pit and ignited the travel trailer. A plume of smoke from the fire could be seen from the west side of La Grange The fire department responded with two quick response trucks, a tanker, command vehicle and six personnel. They quickly extinguished the fire.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the fire.
