Traffic Stop on Bike Leads to Possession Charge

On Tuesday, April 4, at approximately 12:06 a.m. Sgt. Ryan Meagher conducted a traffic stop on a bicycle for a traffic violation in the La Grange area.

During contact with the subject, probable cause was established and a search was conducted. After further investigation, the bicyclist was found to be in possession of methamphetamine which was located on the subject’s person.

Timothy Dobbins Jr., 37 of La Grange, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1.
