Three Teens Arrested For Mullins Prairie Store Burglary, New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Vandalism
Three suspects turned themselves in to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office this week to face charges related to the recent crime spree in Mullins Prairie.
Those arrested were Eagan Rivers, 19 of La Grange; Cody Parks, 17 of La Grange; and Anthony Pate III, 18 of Dale. They were each charged with Burglary of a Building and Criminal Mischief greater than $2,500 but less than $30,000, both State Jail Felonies.
Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on July 18, deputies took reports of a burglary at the Mullins Prairie Store and vandalism that occurred at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Both cases were forwarded to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
While investigators began working on each case, they received information on the identity of one of the suspects in the burglary of the Mullins Prairie Store. Investigators located and interviewed the subject who admitted to taking part in both the burglary and the vandalism of the church.
Investigators continued working on the case and identified two more suspects. During the investigation it was determined these individuals took part in two more crimes that had occurred in Mullins Prairie area few weeks prior.
Investigators received warrants for arrest on the three subjects, who all turned themselves in to the Fayette County Justice Center on the morning of July 25.
