Thieves Steal $16,000 in Cigarettes from New Store

Schulenburg Police report that a pair of theives were caught on camera stealing $16,000 in cigarettes from the new Texan convenince store that opened just over a week ago.

The theft took place at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Friday, July 8. Surveillance video from the store shows two men walking behind the clerk’s counter at the store. The men grabbed several boxes that were full of cartons of cigarettes.

Police said the stolen merchandise was valued at approximately $16,000.
