Theft, Disturbances Among La Grange Police Calls
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Aug. 2-9.
Accident
On Aug. 5, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Colorado for an accident.
Animal Complaint
On Aug. 2, Animal Control Officer Leslie Yezakl responded to the 200 block of S. Lester where a dog had killed a skunk in the pen.
On Aug. 3, Yezakl went to the 100 block of S. Reynolds for a found puppy.
On Aug. 3, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 600 block of E. Walnut where complainant advised he had been chased by a dog while walking.
On Aug. 6, Yezakl went to the 200 block of N. River for a dying kitten on the steps.
On Aug. 6, Haynie was dispatched to the 800 block of N. Horton regarding an animal complaint.
On Aug. 7, Yezakl responded to the 600 block of E. Pearl for a German Shepard running loose.
Citizen Assist
On Aug. 3, Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an incident at Walmart.
Disturbance
On Aug. 4, Meinardus re-sponded to the1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for subject trying to fight in the parking lot. Subject gone upon officers’ arrival.
On Aug. 5, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for a disturbance.
On Aug. 5, Ortiz was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Main regarding a disturbance.
On Aug. 6, Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Colorado for a disturbance.
Fire
On Aug. 3, Meinardus responded to 2 St. Mark’s Place for a golf cart fire.
Harassment
On Aug. 7, Meinardus responded to the 400 block of N. Madison for an incident with a girlfriend texting about a welding machine.
Loud Music
On Aug. 8, Meinardus responded to the 800 block of E. Upperline where caller reported hearing a car horn. Officer located the vehicle which appeared to be having a mechanical issue. Owner was able to disable the horn.
Suspicious Vehicle
On Aug. 5, Sgt. Mitchell Maxwell responded to the 1000 block of E. Travis for a suspicious vehicle.
On Aug. 7, Officer Jose Garza responded to the 200 block. of W. Colorado for a suspicious vehicle.
Terroristic Threat
On Aug. 3, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 2300 block of W. Travis regarding a terroristic threat.
Theft
On Aug. 4, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Reynolds regarding a theft.
On Aug. 4, Garza responded to the 400 block of S. Madison in reference to theft from porch.
On Aug. 5, Haynie was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Guadalupe regarding a theft.
On Aug. 5, Maxwell was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for a possible theft.
On Aug. 8, Garza responded to the 400 block of Travis in reference to retail threat.
Welfare Check
On Aug. 5, Ortiz was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Main for a welfare check.
On Aug. 6, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Fannin for a welfare check.
