Texas-Sized Ramp Built in Cistern
It was a steep climb up the stairs to Richard Faz’s home in the Cistern area. Recovering from an infection from a major surgery, Faz was told about the Texas Ramp Project by his home health nurse. The result: the longest ramp ever built by the local group – 80 feet to reach the front door. Faz, an employee of Fayette County Precinct 3, stands with his wife Christina and two of their sons, Justin and Tommy. So far this year, volunteers with the Texas Ramp Project have built 35 ramps in Fayette County at no cost to the recipients. Last year they built at total of 31.
