Texas Burger Bash Returns to LG Square
The second annual Texas Burger Bash returns to the La Grange courthouse square April 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Last year’s initial event had 12 teams and they are shooting for 20+ this year said one of the event’s organizers Tim Scarborough.
Right now proceeds from the event are benefitting Feed the Need Missions, which provides free burgers to the public on the square every Monday evening. Scarborough said his hope is that the event can expand to donating to a number of other local nonprofits in the coming years.
Burgers will be available for purchase the day of the Bash and there will also be a cornhole tournament and a kids cook-off for those 10-17.
“This is a family friendly event,” Scarborough said.
He added that the event is actively looking for people who want to judge the burger competition.
“We need a lot of stomachs. We’d like to have 72 judges,” he said.
