    Ten County Officials Take Oath Of Office on New Year’s Morning

Dan Mueller took the oath of office as the new Fayette County Judge on New Year’s Day, Sunday, Jan. 1.

District Judge Jeff Steinhauser administered the oath to Mueller in a ceremony at the Courthouse Sunday morning.

“I will do my best at this position,” Mueller said after the swearing-in ceremony. “I haven’t made promises during the campaign, and I’m not going to make any promises, but I assure you that I will have the best interest of the people of Fayette County at heart.”

Mueller also administered the oath of office to eight other elected County officials on Sunday: District Clerk Linda Svrcek, County Clerk Brenda Fietsam, Tax Assessor-Collector Sylvia Mendoza, Pct. 2 Commissioner Luke Sternadel, Pct. 4 Commissioner Drew Brossmann, Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Kyle Hartmann, Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Jamie Moreau, Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Charles Zapalac and Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace Paul Zapalac.
