Teens Ticketed for Sign Damage
The Fayette County Sheriff ’s Office ticketed three young men for pushing over road signs with a pickup truck in the Freyburg area.
It didn’t take deputies long to find the vehicle. They found a license plate at the scene where a sign pole ripped it off the pickup.
Chief Deputy Randy Noviskie of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said a citizen reported the damage on Saturday, Feb. 18.
Deputies responded and found numerous road signs that had been run over along FM 2238 in the Freyburg area.
“There was one individual driving and two were riding with him,” Noviskie said. “They were all issued Class C Misdemeanor citations and they will be responsible for the cost of putting the signs back up.”
Noviskie declined to release their names due to their age.
