Tax Assessor to Move Out Of Courthouse Next Week

The Fayette County Tax Assessor’s Office will move from the Courthouse to its new location at 143 N. Main Street next week.

The office will close for the move on Wednesday, May 10. It will reopen at the new location on Thursday, May 11. The new office is located next to Lukas Bakery.

The Fayette County Tax Assessor’s Office handles titling and registration for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Change of ownership and boat transactions are done from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. only.
