Suspects Sought in Ace Hardware Theft

Schulenburg Police are looking for two women who allegedly stole merchandise from the Ace Hardware Store in Schulenburg.

The theft occurred shortly before noon on Friday, Dec. 22. Surveillance video from the store shows the two women entering the store. They took a Milwaukee Tools lithium- ion double battery pack and left the store without paying. The merchandise is valued at approximately $250.

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek said he believes the two suspects are the same women who committed a theft at Potter Country Store in Schulenburg about a year ago. The same women may have been involved in a theft from the Ace Hardware Store in Yoakum earlier this year, which was also captured on surveillance video. In both cases, the women were seen leaving the store in a dark colored Toyota minivan.
