Support Local Youth at Warda Bunch Show BBQ Pork Fundraiser April 18
The Warda Bunch Show Fund, supporters of the Lee County Junior Livestock Show exhibitors, will have a BBQ Pork Fundraiser on Saturday, April 18. Pork butts will be sold by the piece. Each piece will be approx. 2.5-4 lbs. for $12 a pound. Cups of sauce are available for $3 each. Orders will be taken for how many pieces (not pounds) you would like. Pick up will be at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 4-6 p.m. Preorder by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333 by Friday, April 10.
Spaghetti Fundraiser
The FLHS Boosters Annual Chicken Spaghetti Fundraiser order deadline is Wednesday, April 8. Two casseroles sizes are available for pre-order only. $20 for an 8 x 8 size and $35 for a 9 x 13 size. These can be picked up on Monday, April 13 between 4:30-5:30 p.m. To place your order call (979) 242-2889 or email KueckJ@FLHStx.org.
Serbin 4H Dinner
The Serbin 4H Annual Fried Chicken Dinner will be held Sunday, April 12. Pick up is at the Serbin picnic grounds from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling the church office at (979) 366-9650.
Family Fun Night
Camp Lone Star Family Fun Night will be held Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. This is a free event and includes dinner, exciting camp activities, a parent vs. kids kickball contest, and a devotional. Register at camplonestar. org.
Camp Lone Star Registration Camp Lone Star in La-Grange Summer Camp registration, for campers age 5-18 is open. The Camp will also have a work weekend May 15-17, as they prepare to welcome over 2,000 campers. Kids and adults are welcome to the work weekend, to help with some projects and enjoy a few fun camp activities. Register at www.camplonestar. org.
“Wrangle in Warda”
Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda will have a NICA event “Wrangle in Warda” State Championship April 18-19. For more information go to bcrwarda.com/events.
Sewing Circle
The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions.
Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, April 16 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.
