Subject Detained After Foot Chase
On Dec. 14, the Fayette County Narcotics Unit, Austin County Regional Special Response Team, and the HIDTA Drug Task Force served a Felony 1 Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance warrant on a male subject at the Pilot truck stop in Schulenburg.
A brief foot chase ensued through the Pilot parking lot into the woods east of Pilot and out to the I-10 Frontage road. The suspect was apprehended after resisting arrest. Investigators retrieved two bags of Ecstasy pills that they observed the suspect throw near the woods during the foot chase. Investigators counted approximately 183 Ecstasy pills. The Ecstasy pills were also field tested by investigators which gave a positive test for Methamphetamines. The suspect, 28-year-old Shaquille Laquan Oliver of Schulenburg was booked into the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for two active Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance Warrants; Evading Arrest Detention W/ Previous Convictions; Tampering with Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair; Resisting Arrest/Search/Transport, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
