Student Hit by Car at LHS
A La Grange High School student suffered a fractured left foot when she was hit by a vehicle as she was crossing Vail St. after school Monday.
The student was driven by private vehicle to urgent care.
According to La Grange police Chief David Gilbreath, the student did not properly check for traffic in both directions before crossing the street, and the crossing did not occur at a designated cross walk. The driver was not cited.
Gilbreath said students, and the general public for that matter, should only cross the street at designated cross walks.
