Structure a Total Loss from Fire

Saturday at 1:20 pm the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on Klaus Rd. near FM 1457 between Round Top and Willow Springs. The Round Top – Warrenton Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene with assistance from the Carmine Fire Department. Upon arrival, the metal building was fully engulfed and the occupants were out of the structure. Deputies Lee Phillips, Joe Gonzales, EMS 2, EMS Unit Medic 1 also responded. The fire was contained and extinguished. It is believed the fire started in a woodshop working area of the metal structure. The building was a total loss. There were no reported injuries.
