Out and About
Dana and Darrell Kulak traveled to the Fort Worth area to meet their newest grandson, Calvin and enjoy some time with Calvin’s big brother, Henry and their parents Elton and Miko Kulak.
John and Debra Schwartzenburg were thrilled to have their daughter Michelle Mitchell fly in from Colorado with her children Addie and Ollie for Spring Break. They got to enjoy some warmer weather and beautiful sunshine. Addie and Ollie really enjoyed getting to run around Speed Hill and collect bugs and Bluebonnets. On Sunday afternoon, some of the rest of the family got to come over to see them including Ted and Nada Burns; Lauren Schwartzenburg and Eric Prause; along with James and myself.
Neighborhood Watch
With Spring Break going on be sure and keep an eye out for kids being out and about along with any strange vehicles. If you see something off at your neighbors, be sure and give them a call. It all might be good, but you never know and we all have to be on the watch and keep the area safe. And if you are going to be gone, call your neighbors you trust to be sure to keep a watch on your place.
Also, while out, be careful driving in the area. Traffic, especially on FM 609, seems to be very heavy. And adding to the driving stress, the wildlife is on the move. They are not only looking for food water, but looking for a mate. Deer, hogs and other critters are crossing the roads and some can cause lots of damage if you hit it. Then the clean up crews of scavengers are also on the roads and fly up when cars come by making it dangerous to dodge.
Windy Weather
Muldoon has been buffeted with some strong winds. High winds blew through, blowing anything not tied down all over the place. This was not the kind of weather we needed after the nice rain the week before. Then when Muldoon experienced a light late freeze on St Patrick’s day. This is making for some tough weather to stay well with all the temperature shifts from warm to cold back to warm all swirled together with some strong winds.
