Stolen Car Recovered

San Marcos Police recovered a vehicle on NewYear’s Eve that was stolen in La Grange five days prior.

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports that on Monday, Dec. 26, La Grange Police Officer John Wostarek responded to Sonic Drive In at 717 E. Travis St. in regard to a stolen vehicle. The victim, a Sonic employee, reported seeing a male suspect enter his vehicle and drive away.

The vehicle was a gray 2004 Toyota Tundra. Gilbreath said the vehicle was parked outside Sonic and the doors were unlocked with the keys in the ignition.

San Marcos Police located the vehicle on Dec. 31. It was occupied by a 41-year-old female identified as Rebekah Leah Ring. San Marcos Police arrested Ring for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and transported her to the Hays County Jail.
