Volunteers are needed to help park cars in Warrenton for the Antique Show on Oct. 16-17. Help is also needed with the bake sale in Warrenton on Oct. 19-20. Just a reminder, non-perishable, bagged, and labeled items can be sold in the bake sale.

The annual roast beef and sausage fundraiser will take place on Sunday, Oct. 8. It will be catered by Peter’s BBQ and will start at 11 a.m. at the church, corner of Fayette and Grover Street. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased from Gladys Koehl (979) 9667951, Sharon Fritsch (979) 966-3515, any church member or at Koehl’s in Ellinger.

Ellinger C of C

The Ellinger Chamber hall or part of it, can be rented for your next birthday party, family reunion or holiday gathering. Facilities have two sets of bathrooms, large dance floor and kitchen if needed. Contact Miranda Schlabach at (979) 966-8612 if interested or visit ellingertexas.com.

Shared Lutheran Ministry

All Saints’ Joint Worship will be held in Fayetteville on Nov. 5 at 10:30 a.m. Bishop Mike will be in Ellinger on Dec. 3 at 8 a.m. for a joint worship.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.

Hermann Sons Life

Play bingo for a chance to win a designer purse while helping raise funds for the Hermann Sons Life Grief Support Camp exclusively designed for children who are grieving a loss of a loved one. The home office will host this event on Saturday, Oct. 21 starting at 11 a.m. The home office is located at 515 South St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio. This event is open to members and non-members. Tickets are $50 and include one bingo book, lunch and two drinks. Extra bingo books and daubers can be purchased. The camp that this event benefits will be a half week session at the Comfort, Texas Hermann Sons camp for ages 8-17. The goal is to provide a free camp session, which normally costs about $550.
