SPD Finds Bison Heads in Alley

Schulenburg Police Chief
Schulenburg Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to the week ofJuly 24-30.
Animal Complaint
On July 25, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 1100 lock of Upton for a large pit-bull running loose. Dog was captured and placed at the shelter. Owner must provide $120 payment and proof of rabies vaccinebefore release.On July 25, Officer Frank Parkinson responded to the 200 block of Kallus for seven Bison heads in the alley. Officer discovered who they belonged to, and made contact. The heads were from the meat market where he works and they wererelocated into his yard.On July 26, Parkinson responded to the 200 block of Kallus for dogs making noise. Officer spoke with the owner of the dogs and advised to move the dogs into the garage and leave a portion of it open. The dogs were barking because of the seven bison heads in theyard.On July 29, Sgt. Tobey Mc-Fadden responded to the 1200 block of South St. for a loose dog. Officer was unable to locate the dog.
Criminal Trespass
On July 27, Officer Jacob Mills responded to the 25 block of N. Kessler for an individual in the store. Store manager wanted a criminal trespass issued and complainant was given a courtesy ride back to the police department.
Civil Matter
On July 25, Powe responded to the 600 block of Upton where individual had requested documentation for child’s father notretuning child as required.On July 26, McFadden responded to the 1200 block ofKallus for a civil matter.On July 28, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 1200 block of South St. where grandmother is tying to get her grandson out of her house. Officer advised her to go to the JP’s office.
Disturbance
On July 24, Parkinson responded to the 1300 block of South St. for an individual that has been in her room due to COVID and was concerned about leaving her with her kids.
Public Intoxication
On July 26, Powe responded to the 700 block of N. US Hwy 77 for an intoxicated subject at Oakridge. One female was arrested.
Suspicious Person
On July 28, Vincent responded to the 700 lock of Herder for a suspicious person/vehicle that was taking pictures of the residence. Officer was unable to locate the person.
Traffic
On July 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding going 45 in a35.On July 24, Powe and Mills stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of E. I-10 for no license plate light. Driver received a warning for expired registration.
On July 24, Powe stopped a vehicle for failure to signal lane change in the 40 block of Kessler Driver received a citationfor no insurance.On July 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of W. I-0 for speeding going 82 in a 75 mph one. Driver received awarning.On July 24, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of Kessler going 42 in a 30 mph zone. Driver received awarning.On July 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Kessler for turning too wide and driver was issued a warning.
On July 24, Vincent stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 900 block of Summit for speeding going 76 in a 40 mph zone. Citation was issued for speeding.
On July 25, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of N. Kessler for an expired registration.
On July 25, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of College for speeding going 36 in a30 mph zone.On July 25, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for turning left from the wrong lane. Driver received awarning.On July 25, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 100 block of Kessler. Driver was driving 54 in a 35 mph zone. Driver received a citation for speeding and for operating anunregistered motor vehicle.On July 25, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 500 block of Kessler for a defective stop lamp. Driver received a citation for no drivers’ license and no insurance and unauthorized use of temporary tags.
On July 25, Powe stopped avehicle in the 800 block of Kessler for speeding going 63 in a 45 mph zone. Driver received a citation.
On July 26, Mills stopped a vehicle in the 14 block of N. Kessler for driving vehicle without lights when required. Driver released with a warning On July 26, Parkinson removed a semi from a residential area in the 200 block of Russek and showed the driver a better way to get to his location.
On July 26, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for running a red light and the driver received a citation.
On July 27, Mills stopped vehicle in the 14 block of N. Kessler for driving without lights when required. Driver released with a warning.
On July 27, Mills stopped a vehicle for driving without lights when required in the 25 lock of N. Kessler. A citation was issued for expired registration and a warning for driving without lights.
On July 28, Office Chris Kalina stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Summit for driving without both license plates. Driver was given a warning.
On July 28, Mills stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of E. Summit for license plate being unreadable from 50 feet. Driver issued a warning.
On July 30, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Kessler for going 40 in a 30 mph zone. Driver received a warning.
On July 30, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of N. Kessler for an expired registration and a citation was issued.
On July 30, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of Summit for an expired registration. Driver issued a citation.
Welfare Check
On July 25, McFadden was dispatched to the 40 block ofKessler for welfare check.On July 29, McFadden was dispatched to the 200 block of East Avenue for an individualwith low blood sugar.
Miscellaneous
On July 27, Mills while patrolling Wolters Park found a black truck with seven teenagers inside. All parents were called and came to the location to pick their kids up. All parents were warned and advised to not let their children out past curfew. All parents were aware and most were not. All parties were identified and released to parents.
On July 30, McFadden was dispatched to the 200 block of Paulus to Tenth Frame for loud music. Officer upon arrival was not able to locate any loud music.
