SLM to Vote to Accept Jen Kindsvatter as New Pastor

All four churches will have a congregational vote to accept the new Pastoral Candidate, Pastor Jen Kindsvatter on Sunday, Feb. 25. There was a meet in greet last Sunday in Rutersville for all to meet her and her family. Although she may be a new face for some, she has served as a supply pastor in our congregations over that last several months.

The next Wednesday service will be in Warrenton at St. John’s beginning at 6:30 p.m. No soup will be served. Lenten offerings will be designated for AMEN. The topic for this service is titled “God’s Will and My Inadequacy.”

The Shared Council will meet in Warrenton on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at St. John’s starting at 5:30 p.m. Each church council will then meet at 6:30 p.m., except Ellinger, who will meet after church on Feb. 18.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services..

Hermann Sons 

The Ellinger Hermann Sons will meet on Monday, Feb. 19 at 6 pm at the Ellinger Fire Station.

The summer camp sessions will start enrollment in March. Stay tuned for details. Medical staff is still needed.

Central Texas Food Bank 

Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the junction FM 2145 and FM 2191 on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 10-11 a.m. Distribution will be a walk-up method.
