Shelter Update

As of Nov. 3, total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter was 1,434: 665 dogs and 769 cats in need. As of Nov. 3, the shelter has 131 animals in care: 70 dogs/61 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

The animal shelter continues to offer a discount voucher program to the citizens of Fayette County for the spay/neuter of family pets. Call (979) 9660021 for more information.
