Shelter Update

As of Sept. 2, the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter total intake for 2022 is 937: 408 dogs and 529 cats in need. As of Sept. 2, the shelter has 144 animals in care: 57 dogs/87 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner. The shelter offers a discount voucher program for spay/neuter for citizens of Fayette County. Call (979) 966-0021 for more informaiton.
