Shelter Offers Spay/Neuter Discount Voucher

The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter appreciates its volunteers, fosters, donors, and supporters. The animal shelter cannot continue its mission without your support.

As of June 9, total intake at the animal shelter for the year is 746: 381 dogs and 365 cats in need. As of June 9, the shelter has 137 animals in care: 76 dogs and 61 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Spay and neuter is the only way to manage the stray, unwanted dog and cat population in Fayette County. The animal shelter offers a discount voucher program for the citizens of Fayette County for the spay/neuter of family pets. Call (979) 966-0021.
