Shelter Intake Averages 32 Animals Weekly

The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter continues to take in, on average, 32 dogs and cats each week. As of Oct. 20, the total intake is 1,380: 640 dogs and 740 cats in need. As of Oct. 20, the shelter has 136 animals in care: 78 dogs/58 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.
