Shelter Has 118 Animals In Care

As of July 7, total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 898: 432 dogs and 466 cats in need. As of July 7, the shelter has 118 animals in care: 53 dogs and 65 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Stray dogs and cats running at large present a health hazard Fayette County citizens. Spay and neuter is the only way to manage the stray, unwanted dog and cat population in Fayette County.
