Shared Lutheran Ministry Events Abound

The Shared Lutheran Ministry council and the congregational councils will meet at the church in Warrenton for the annual council retreat on Saturday, Feb. 25. The event will take place from 9 a.m.12 noon. Pastor Jill will lead the retreat and snacks will be served. Installation of Councils will take place in Ellinger on March 5.
Shared Lutheran Ministry
Fat Tuesday (Feb. 21) Pancake supper will be in Fayetteville at St. Paul Lutheran from 5:30-7 p.m. Free will offering with proceeds to benefit the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department. All are welcome.
Ash Wednesday (Feb. 22) services will be in Fayetteville at noon or in Warrenton at 7 p.m. All are welcome.
The first Lenten Wednesday worship will be in Warrenton with Pastor Stephanie Stark on March 1. A soup supper will be served at 6 p.m. with worship at 7 p.m. The offering will go to Lutherhill’s new dining hall campaign. All are welcome.
Central Texas Food Bank
Central Texas Food Bank Truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145 on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 10-11 a.m. Food distribution will be a walk up method. Volunteers will distribute the food from tables, as the clients walk through the line making their selections. Every client needs to bring their own sturdy reusable bags or boxes. A few wagons will be furnished by CTFB, but if the client has their own wagon, please bring it. The next date will be March 18.
Brethren Church
Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Face book page.
Hermann Sons
The Ellinger Lodge will meet on Monday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Sta- tion.
Those with children going to Hermann Sons Camp in Comfort this summer are invited to the Round Top Lodge meeting on Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall off of Hwy. 237. LGISD
Friday, Feb. 17 will be a student holiday and teacher inservice. Monday, Feb. 20 is a student and staff holiday.
LG PTO Sweetheart Dance The La Grange Elementary PTO hosted a Daughter and Date Sweetheart Dance at the Elementary Cafeteria this past weekend. Local young ladies attended the dance with their dates. The cafeteria was decorated for Valentine’s Day and a wide array of snacks such as fruit, crackers, cheese, and dried sausage was furnished. The girls enjoyed dressing up for this special event and dancing the night away.
Chamber of Commerce The Fayette County Recycle Trailer will be at the chamber hall on Wednesday, Feb.
22 from 1-3 pm.
