After lunch, we will host a special Lunch and Learn program with Madelyn Karstedt, Miss Czech Slovak USA, who will share insights into her title and its cultural significance, as well as her responsibilities in this national role. Madelyn’s mother will be teaching art for Artful Fridays this year. Bingo will follow at 12:30 p.m., hosted by Amanda from Anytime Fitness.
Once the games get rolling on Tuesday, Feb. 17 in Weimar at First United Methodist Church, 301 W. Saint Charles St., a nurse from True Care Living will join for blood pressure checks. But don’t worry, she will not disturb your game. That will be followed by Amanda’s famous meatloaf served with buttered potatoes, renowned house salad, and dessert by members.
The Lunch and Learn program will feature our favorite guest and game. Look forward to a fun Jeopardy game led by Physician Assistant Abby from Duchicela’s Clinic, with bingo to follow courtesy of Niesha and the True Care Living team.
We will honor Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18 in Schulenburg with a special meal of fried fish, hush puppies, coleslaw, and macaroni and cheese from Oakridge Smokehouse, with desserts provided by lovely members.
