Second Chance Donates to Habitat, Senior Connections
Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $10,714.38 to Senior Connections (formally Navidad Valley Community Connections). Monies donated will be used for the following: satellite Senior Connections expansion, the purchase of a rise hydroponic indoor garden and casters; a Ryobi blower; and grant writing assistance using a consultant with the goal of building the organization. Senior Connections serves the senior population in accessing nutritious meals and having opportunities for social interaction, mental stimulation and community involvement. Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $10,000 to Fayette County Habitat for Humanity. Monies donated will be used to purchase building materials to finish constructing the interior of a new tool trailer, as well as stocking the trailer with power tools and hand tools to be used by the Habitat volunteers on projects in Fayette County.
