The car as it looked in the aftermath of Saturday’s crash.

Schulenburg superintendent Duane Limbaugh and his wife Jennifer were involved in a serious car accident Saturday morning on Interstate-10 when their car was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler. As you can see in the picture below, it was a very violent accident. Here’s a message from Duane Limbaugh shared by SISD:

“Jennifer is up (very sore) and moving. I have internal bleeding around the spleen, liver, and brain is under control, was just told no surgery! Just monitoring to ensure nothing gets worse, another night in the hospital as long as everything goes well! Jennifer’s RAV 4 looked cut in half from the 18-wheeler that hit us from behind! We are thanking God we left Bobby (their son) at home sleeping in, instead of him going to the (cross country) meet for TJ (their other son) who was riding the bus!”
